Birthday Planning

For a one year old can be a full-time job. I have decided to make it mine for this week, and am diligently scouring the kitchen, Pinterest, and my own imagination. In varying degrees.

Spoiler alert: There will be flags.
They will be pink and orange and fuschia and hurriedly sewn by someone who has not been sleeping enough. Because of the flags. Those darn flags, I tell ya.

Also, on a completely separate subject, I would like my garden to look a bit more like Versailles, and less like our neighbor's cat's litter box, please. Cheers.

Um, oh yeah. Btw, the head count is currently at 80. There will be 80 PEOPLE at my house this coming Sunday. Come on by--the more the merrier.

Gulp.

Um, also, does anyone know a very good masseuse (who also can juggle and cook well and entertain 30 kids? Just wondering)... xoxo!

Anthro Pinterest

I'm finding that pinterest is a good way to keep track of Anthro items I'm looking for. However, once in a while, I end up with the label, no picture, like in the bottom mid-right. I guess I'm willing to still go with it for now.
Does anyone else have a better way to organize their wishlist? Other than the Anthro website?

ps. unrelated: did anyone else read Hunger Games in one day? And is suddenly unable to function until she finishes the trilogy?

Lately on my Pinterest

Their logo should be:

Pinterest--The way to spend that extra 2 hours a day you didn't think you had...or
Pinterest--Why bother with people on Facebook, when you can look at pictures of beautiful things...or
Pinterest--Who knew you could live on 5 hours of sleep a night.

It's so insanely addictive.

Speaking of addictive and Edward Cullen, did anyone else see Breaking Dawn this weekend? With their husband or boyfriend?

You know, the husband who pretended not to love it, but you KNOW he did by how tightly he gripped your hand during the thrilling werewolf fight.

Getchyer own Pinterest Invite!

Hi kids,

Did anyone else get up at the crack of dawn for Anthro's early tag sale, check out Roxy's list of tag sale items and then think, "It's raining, I'm tired, I can't find anything in my closet anyway. And damnit, I'm out of hangers," and then just flop back into bed instead of rushing out there with the baby to buy more stuff? No, just me? Just wondering.

Um. Anywhoo. Does anyone else LOVE their pinterest boards like I do? Or at least wants to check it out?

I'm happy to invite you--it will speed up your pinterest account wait list time. Then you can spend hours looking at pictures of huge bunnies, baby hedgehogs, and hilarious quotes, too.

The cool thing is that you can keep track of all the things you like online, without cluttering up your desktop or your bookmarks.

Of course, keeping track of and expanding your style inspiration board is awesome. It keeps one from running to Anthro at crazy o'clock and buying everything up, just because there's a tag sale going on.

See how neat and tidy? And free? Hooray for free! Seriously, I'm not selling anything. I just love me some pinterest boards.

Want your own account?

Just be a follower and comment below with your email. I'll invite as many people as I can (i.e. until Pinterest says no or Avery starts screaming).

Hurry! I want to see your fun, stylish boards!

Inspirational

Pinterest is doing a great job of distracting me from Anthro. Will not have a problem not shopping. At least for tonight.

Check out pinterest--it's addictive. But it's free. And free is cheaper than shopping.
